Second blog in 6 months

Since I am not a high techy, it has taken me 6 months to figure out how to blog on this blog. Well now I have figured it out and most important I have written it down somewhere safe, where I will probably forget where I put it.

It is the day after Christmas 2009.

Wow, how the years go by. So I will be working on my new years resolution once again.

1. Of course to loose 50 pounds (not a new one)
2. Follow the Word of Wisdom (that means give up my wonderful coffee)
3. Most of all I want to give up hanging on to the past.
a. STOP calling my ex, "my husband." He isn't and hasn't been for more years than I care to remember.
b. give up the regrets. Would of, Could of. Enough said.
c. Forgive myself. I must do this before I can forgive others.
4. Start making a life for myself that is not centered around my kids, my job and my lack of money.

Well since this is a Christmas post I will tell you about our Christmas

All month I had been aquiring gifts for the kids, snowboards and boots for those whose didn't have them and a season pass for David. (so he didn't urn to got to Mammouth so much. I don't mind him going to Mammouth but it is getting him back from there in time for school that was a problem.)
Christina spent the holiday in New Orleans with her inlaws and should be stopping back in LA on the return trip. She and Mark and the babies stopped by on the way out and picked up the traditional PJ's so she could open them. It was a very nice pleasant visit and meal. My grandbabies are beautiful and smart. Of Course.

Christmas eve was the usual rush then open the pj's, then Vicky and David headed out to friends houses. Kelly and I stayed and watached a Movie as we love to do.

Christmas morn just isn't the same since the kids are grown..........so why wake up early. I had to do one visit so after opening the gifts Vicky and I headed out and just happened to stop at McD's for breakfast.

We had the traditional ham for early dinner. I think next year I will skip the fancy dinner and go right to ham and beans. When I get a large crock pot (hint to Christina). After eating we rushed out to get good seats for Sherlock Holmes, which was wonderful. Again Vicky and David took off for better places while Kelly and I went home and cleaned up. I then forced myself to stay up untill 7pm them crashed in front of the tv in my room. Lovely peaceful holiday.

On Christmas Eve I called my brother Bernie and wished him a happy holiday and found out that he ski's and was in Colorado. This is the first holiday that we have ever talked at it is comforting to have family once again.

So there is Christmas in a nutty shell.

Today Saturday, I have 4 visits and Kelly and I wil start plotting and planning for New Years Eve on Colorado Blvd. I think we are changing our spot this year so we can be more interactive. It will tell you all about it next year.

Getting Started

I am going to use this blog to save thought and memories for my children, grandchildren and my friends. Not that I am going anywhere soon, but one never knows. I will tell the stories my grandparents, and great grand family members told me, and then document my life with my family.
I will be adding more real soon.
